How to master the art of self-coaching

I’m a huge advocate of self-coaching; it’s so incredibly empowering and I’d love for you to explore its principles and immerse yourself in its benefits.

There’s no better time to discover self-coaching than the present. So, let’s jump in shall we?

 Slow down

The first thing you need to do to really take advantage of self-coaching is to slow down, notice your surroundings and really reflect on where you’ve been, where you are now and what you want your future to hold. This will heighten your sense of self-awareness.

I’ve heard the term ‘unplugging’ used frequently and I love the concept; it’s to step off the grid and be completely present. Just visualising unplugging your devices brings about a sense of relief. Without interruptions you’ll develop a stronger connection with your immediate environment and take more notice of the wonderful sights and sounds that fill our lives.

Why don’t you ‘unplug’ for a while and harness your wisdom!

Be the best you

Now that you’ve slowed down, and stopped for breath, it’s time for self-coaching. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Put some dedicated time aside to really step back and ask yourself some powerful questions to reveal your needs and desires. It’s key to have clarity on what success means to you.

  • When you do this, be completely open to the fact that at this moment in time you’re a work in progress. Believe that from this day forward you are in control of your future.

  • Here are some questions to get you going, but remember, this is YOUR journey, so feel free to dig deeper and add some of your own. They key to this approach is that it’s about YOUR self-reflection and self-awareness.

- When are my energy levels at their highest?

- What triggers me to become self-doubtful?

- Who in my network can I turn to for support and insight?

- Who can I ask for regular feedback? What other ways can I obtain feedback?

- What should I give up doing over the 12 months? What just isn’t working for me?

From your answers you should be able to identify patterns and learn more about your strengths, weaknesses, and ambitions. Maybe you’ve discovered that your intentions and how you present yourself to the world are completely different. Having this level of self-awareness will carry you forward to continually improve and encourage you to ask yourself questions frequently to bridge this gap.

Stay curious

Curiosity is one of the five pillars that I coach. The others being control, connections, clarity, and courage.

It’s curiosity that helps push you forward and away from your comfort zone. Curiosity urges you to explore more, develop a growth mindset, and discover what you truly love in life.

Let me know how you get on.

Finally, I have some effective tools and techniques to help you master these steps and free your path ahead so you can proceed to succeed! To learn more about them feel free to get in touch and book in a free discovery call.
