Why Collective Goal Setting Is Incredibly Powerful
Don’t wait until the 1st January to set goals! You’ll know when the time is right for you to make changes to turn your aspirations and dreams into a reality. This can be at any time of the year– take control of your ambitions your way!
Sounds easy on paper, doesn’t it? You know what you want to achieve, and this drives a desire to set goals and make them happen. So, what’s stopping you? There may be lots of factors stopping you, but when you experience collective goal setting, you’ll appreciate why it’s more successful than trying to set your goals alone.
Not sure what goals to set?
It can be really difficult to make plans and set goals for yourself. It’s not uncommon for female leaders to put limits on their own potential and not recognise their own strengths.
Setting goals with other like-minded female leaders will empower you to think big.
Embrace more diverse perspectives and ideas
Setting goals with others allows us to explore more options than we would if we were to set them alone. Sharing ambitions, aspirations, experiences, skills, and insights drives us to create more creative and effective goals.
Increase accountability and motivation
It’s all well and good setting goals, but they must be implemented too!
Working with other female leaders will make you feel more invested in achieving your objectives as you’ll hold each other accountable for making progress. This shared responsibility and commitment is an extremely effective motivator.
A sense of community and collaboration
When setting goals collectively, everyone will have their own unique set. But there is one common aim – and that’s to achieve them.
This overarching mission that you all share helps you to develop strong and meaningful relationships with the others in the group. Trust will be deepened too.
When people feel like they are a part of something bigger than themselves, they devote a lot of time and energy to realise the most optimum outcome.
To quote a very wise bear
The way you see yourself won’t be the same as how other people see you. As Winne The Pooh said, ‘You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.’
And it’s this perception from others, together and their words of encouragement, that can lead to heightened success!
